报告题目:Brain Hypothermia - Development and Present Situation
内容简介:The concept of brain hypothermia and its medical applications are historically discussed with chemical mechanism of brain disorder caused by brain injuries and/or ischemia. His topic discusses the situation “Chain of Survival” according to American Heart Association (Guidelines). It concerns automatic control of hypothermia treatment of patients in cerebrovascular disorders based on the body surface cooling, direct cooling of blood, catheter in a blood vessel, anticipating and selective brain cooling.
A patient in ICU is regarded as a unity controlled system with input such as temperature of water/air into blanket, blood and catheter in a blood vessel and infusing Ringer's solution into jugular vein in realization of an appropriate temperature of specific brain part. Thus, brain temperature is well controlled in a long period according to the schedule set by physicians. The state of patients has a little influence due to various medical treatments during the therapy under continuous change in environment including the effect of characteristics of individual patients. The effective algorithm of control laws inclusive of our clinically developed cooling and warming machines are discussed for therapeutic course to keep temperature of specific brain part of a patient within its appropriate range.
报告人简介:Prof. Emer. Hidetoshi Wakamatsu received his B. E. and M. E. degrees from Yokohama National University in 1970 and 1972, respectively. He received his D. E. degree in 1984 from the University of Tokyo. He was a research Associate at the Institute for Medical and Dental Engineering in 1972-1986, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU). In 1973-1974, he was a Visiting Research Associate, Institute for Biocybernetics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Erlangen-Nuernberg, Germany. He was an Associate Professor at Ashikaga Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1988, an Associate Professor from 1988 to 1991, a Professor from 1991 to 1992 in Fukui University, and a Professor at TMDU from 1992 to 2012. He is a Professor Emeritus at TMDU since 2012 and a Guest Professor at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) since 2017. In 2018, he is an Associate Editor at Journal of Advanced Emergency Medicine (AEM).
Prof. Wakamatsu's research interests are in automatic precise control system of temperature for clinical brain hypothermia, biochemical dynamics in the damaged area of brain tissue and in the clinical treatment, haptic operation of virtual visco-elasto-plastic material by virtual tools & its application to medicine and life support system based on simple principle and method using the Internet.
